Hotel El Mono Feliz is situated in the middle of nature: in the garden there are big palmtrees, pineapple plants for breakfast and beautiful fragrant flowers. This family hotel has cabañas (apartments) and rooms. The cabañas have a kitchenette. On the terrace you can relax quietly enjoying the shade of the palmtrees.
The rooms are cozy, with a door to the porch or the garden. Breakfast is served on the large porch with fresh tropical fruit. Here is also a kitchen where you can cook for youself, but in fact that will not be necessary. In Ojochal are – surprisingly! – very fine restaurants!

Location
Hotel El Mono Feliz is situated in the small village of Ojochal de Osa (Playa Tortuga). It is 32 kms south of Dominical, in the unspoilt nature of southern Costa Rica.

Activities
There is a lot to do in the rather undiscovered southern part of Costa Rica. From Hotel El Mono Feliz you can make a very special tour to the Indian village of Boruca, where you can buy beautiful wood carvings and woven cloth. Hacienda Barú Reserve and Corcovado National Park are also close by. A little bit further out at sea is Caño Island, a fine spot for snorkling and scuba diving.
There is the Río Térraba where you can make kayak tours through the mangrove forests or by boat through the mangroves of the river Sierpe where you will spot crocodiles, monkeys, birds and many other wildlife.  And there are several waterfalls if you need a cooling down.
Of course relaxing on the nearby beach is also possible.
