DIQUIS DEL SUR - SOUTH PACIFIC COSTA RICA

DIQUIS DEL SUR is a charming tourist resort located on the South of Costa Rica in Ojochal, a magical tropical paradise located half way between Dominical and Palmar Norte.

THE DIQUIS DEL SUR COMPLEX

Diquis del Sur casitas are spread over more than 12 acres (5 hectares), allowing for personal privacy. Diquis has a swimming pool, a games area, an INTERNET studio, and a large palm thatch covered rancho; a special place for you to relax, read, socialize and enjoy your favorite beverage.

Diquis del Sur offers 10 units in 5 casitas (5 units with kitchenette and 6 with A/C). Each unit has its own private terrace, bathroom with a hot shower, a small fridge, and daily maid service. A delicious hot breakfast, served from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., is included in the room rate as are all taxes. Laundry service is available. Secure parking.

OCEAN AND MONTAIN VIEW

On one side of the resort, is a view of the Pacific Ocean (1 km distance). On the other side a view of the Mountain.

• MAKE MEMORIES – Collect  sea shells or tropical seeds during your stay and once a week a local, talented Señora, will come to Diquis to make  the shells and seed pods into a piece of jewelry for you to wear.

RENT-A-CAR

• If you choose to arrive by public transportation:  private car, bus, or airplane we have car rentals at reasonable rates. Pick-up at the local airport in the town of Palmar Sur or Quepos can be arranged.

COSTA RICA BEACHES

• Home to endless beaches and exquisite cascading rivers.
• There are 10 glorious beaches in the area.  Our favorite is Playa Ventana, set on a private tropical cove where the mountains and the tropical growth come down to the sand covered beach.  (five minutes away)

BOTANICAL GARDEN

• The Diquis grounds are practically a real botanical garden with more than 150 species of fruit trees and other exotic tropical trees and plants. Many are labeled.

A PARADISE FOR BIRDS!

The Diquis rests on a costal plateau between the Pacific Ocean and the Costa Ballena Mountains. Such a position allows us to watch the birds resting on tree tops. One of our ‘bird watching guests catalogued 120 species of birds during his stay. He said, “Surely I have not seen them all.” My feeling is that one could easily add some twenty more species.”
