Dined last evening with a local Tico couple that support themselves by fishing. It reminded Nat & I of the deeper pleasures of living in Costa Rica, that of getting to know these lovely people and to be exposed to their culture and gracious hospitality.

Isidro and Marie were the hosts and we feasted on locally caught mackerel that was bien rico!

Isidro is available for fishing and/or snorkeling tours that launch right out from Roca de Amancio, just 2 Kms south of Dominical. It's the white house with a green roof, just after Hotel Costa Paraiso.

There are 4 banks in Uvita Costa Rica. All 3 are national, meaning that they are Costa Rica owned and operated and are actually government banks.

Banco de Costa Rica

300 meters south of the gas station. As you drive south through Uvita, Banco de Costa Rica or "BCR" is the first one you'll come to. It's located on the inland (as opposed to "ocean") side of the highway in the main intersection of Uvita, just next to BM grocery store.
